Unpredictable weather..

Today, the weather was very unpredictable. It kept on raining, then shine, rain, then shine, rain, then shine... I think weather-san's having a hard time making up on what climate it should be. Because of weather-san, I feel dizzy. (_ _") This kind of weather just makes me feel, well.. kind of sick. I don't want to be sick, especially that I wanna be on my good essay-writing mode since we'll be having our Provincial ELA Exams on Monday next week. *sighs* But I think, I hope I'll feel better later on this day. (*^_^*)

This afternoon, Line-chan and Ate Abby came over at our house to study Stats! Nee-chan's helping them out. Nee-chan's really good at math, even I think she should replace our suckish math teacher at school. If I wanna pass my Math Exam next, next week, I'll have to ask her to be my math teacher and I'm pretty sure I'll do better. Haha! But nope, I'll focus on my upcoming ELA exam first! Ganbarimasu! (><)

According to Line-chan, she took over our camera for a while. She took some cool pictures with it! \(^^)/

*Pictures were taken by Line-chan. Credits go to her, as well! :)

These are some random pictures that I took. Yep, I was able to take a few pics outside since it was only drizzling. Now, it's worse. (_ _")
By the way, I took some pics of Line-chan's Lilac Flowers! *Yay!*
 They smell so nice!~ o(^0^)o

Itsy-Bitsy Spider..

I know I'm supposed to be asleep right now, but I just randomly took a close-up of this spider! Looks like from the a deserted place, nee? But don't be fooled, it's only from our "washroom". Hehe. (*^0^*)

*Wait, there are spiders in our washroom??! Uh-oh...*

Sunday 29 May 2011

Night Time is coming..

Both of them may look simple, but for me, they look like oil paintings. :)
On the first one is more like a smudged painting of the night sky. I think it's pretty cool. Actually, our car was moving so I can't take a proper picture of it.
(_ _")
On the second one, it's more of the "oil painting" type. It somehow appears as if someone dabbed on blue, purple, and white paint daubs all over the canvas, nee? Haha!
To me, night skies, especially like these ones, always look like paintings. They're always cool and very interesting to look at. (^_^)

R is for..

R is for Ri-ya-rin. :)

Rain, Rain ..

Today was really cold and rainy, nee? Especially this morning! Brrrrr! (>~<) Good thing we had early dismissal today. Nice way to end a friday, nee? 8(>v<)8. Anyways, good thing it stopped raining now. Rain somehow makes me feel so cold and tired that I just wanna sleep. That's why it's bad when it rains and I'm at school, I'm so close to falling asleep!
(><) zZZ

Water's so cool, nee? I think it's one of the most interesting things in this world! I always wanna take pictures of water. Especially water reflections. Aren't they so cool? (*^^*) Too bad we don't live near any rivers or ponds. (TT__TT) But that's okay! There's still a lot for me to take pictures of! Ganbarimanu! (^0^)/

Taken from our sink. I was only playing around. Hehe. Sugoi, nee? (^_^)

Puffy Cottonfield!

I took some pictures of the puffed dandelions at our backyard. I know they're not really that nice to look at since they're considered as flower weeds, but I thought the of the opposite. I know it's kinda annoying how there's just those wishing stuff that keeps floating around, but I just thought of taking pictures of them and see how it'll turn out. It turned out nice, I guess? :)

Don't they look like those cotton flowers? You know, those flowers where they get cotton balls from? They don't look exactly alike, but pretty close, nee? Everytime I see these, I think of puffiness. (*^_^*)

Hora! Mite! I took a "cotton dandelion" with a butterfly on it. Yay! You cannot believe how long I took just to take one good picture of this one. It's so hard. The butterflies kept flying away. But when they stopped and rested on a dandelion, I took the chance and *snap*! Hehe, yay! I feel so proud!! \(^0^)/

Another one! Train tracks! :)

It was hard to find the right angle, but oh well. :)

Band Blast!~

Today, we had our Annual Mini Band Blast at Andrew Mynarski! *applause* \(^_^)/
Yaaay!!~ It was my very first Band Blast, and I must say, I had a lot of fun! :D Now that I think about it, it was surprisingly, ridiculously fun! Haha! Never thought it would be that crazy fun. At first, it was really nerve-wracking to play along with the AMVC Band since they all look so... pro.
Anyways, what made Band Blast heck a lot better is the teachers. *smiles* (^_^) I am SERIOUS! Especially Andrew's Band teacher, Mr. Welheim. (I think that's how you spell it.) He's ridiculously funny.... and perverted.
He has a lot of jokes, which are kind of inappropriate. But they're still funny. For short, PG 13+. Haha! Just kidding. Anyhow, he said, "Whatever happens in the Band Room, stays in the Band Room." So, I shall shut up now. XD The same goes for my Band teacher, Mr. VanderHout. *Why are most Band teachers like that?!* (> <)

So we started with The Tempest. Worked out well, thank goodness. And Andrew Band was really good and it sounded A LOT better when we played it together with them, especially since they have more people and instruments. *It's true, the more, the merrier.*

Then after we practiced The Tempest, the two most-ridiculous-teachers-I-have-ever-known started to do their "show-offs" : Mr. W with the flute, and Mr. V with the saxophone. Gee, these dudes are good and pro! No wonder they're Band teachers now. And I had a feeling that they thought this was their best time to shine! Haha!
Put that aside, it was our school's turn to play whatever we practiced, consider it as our "failed show-off". We played The March of the Irish Guard and Two English Dances: Shepherd's Hey & Country Gardens. I think it turned out pretty well, but I think we messed up on most parts. Haha! Hey! There were only 15 people or so who came, so what you'd expect?! XD

Of course, we didn't sound as well as them, not even close, but I think we did pretty well.. ? Haha!

AMVC Band played five pieces: Ritual Dance, Declaration and Dance, A Childhood Hymn, African |Folk #2, and Jai Ho. I like all of them but my fave was Jai Ho! They did so much better than us! They like, pawned us the moment they played their pieces. *sigh* (_ _") Oh well, we'll just have to do better, nee?

Band Blast was really fun! I hope I can join again next year, and I hope by then, we'll sound much better not individually, but as a whole band.
 Ganbarimasu! (^0^)/

Ali-chan desu!

"A person who loves the Japanese culture, loves to play the piano and somehow, her world revolves around music. But, her world doesn't only revolve around music. Recently, she loves taking pictures of everything that surrounds her. She thinks it's a good way of realizing all the beauty around with you without you looking for it. She's loud and sometimes annoying, but her sisters are already immune to it. She's scared of horror movies and anything related to it but she likes telling scary stories to others.
People say she's optimistic, but she's often pessimistic about a lot of stuff."

"..She's Ali-chan."

*Arigato nee-chan for taking this picture!* (^_^)v

Twins gone for next year...

Today, I received some bad news. My twin friends, Macy and Queeny, won't be staying at Isaac Newton for next year. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!! *criiiiies* D':
Well, I feel happy for them that they were able to buy a fine house somewhere near Garden City Collegiate. But that IS the sad part. It's closer to GC, further from Isaac, which leaves us to the conclusion that they will just go to GC for next year. D:
I think GC is a nice school, probably even better than Isaac, but it's just sad that they have to leave for Grade 9, when we're gonna graduate (_ _"). *sighs*
We already thought of every single option for them to have in order to stay at Isaac for one more year, but obviously, we have failed. (_ _") Number one option was to ride the bus -- *that way, I can also have someone with me every time I ride the bus each morning* -- which was restricted by their parents. Walking could be one, but far too inconvenient, since it'll probably be more-than-a-twenty-minute walk. Another one is that they could be dropped off, but I think no one's available in their family to do that. So yeah, none of the above saved the twins from leaving. *sighs*

 Queeny (left) and Macy (right)
Try not to get confused! (*^_^*)

Anyhow, I posted this because I already have some drama speeches for them. And I know that they hate those speeches, which is why I made one for each of them. Haha!

Dear Macy,
Before you leave Isaac Newton, for good, I'd like you to know that I am thankful that I had a friend like you. Even though, every single day, you spaz out on me and it always seems like you want to hang me up on a tree, I'd still miss you. And even though, you always lose your patience and temper on me right away, shouting and yelling at me that the whole class would tell you, "Chill out.", I'd still miss you. And even though, you keep tugging on my hair and you seem to love bothering, for you think that I am the best person out there to bother (which I don't understand up until now), I'd still miss you. Behind all of these, I still want to say thank you for having your very rare and short patience to teach me math because it hates me. And as you claim yourself as my "personal stalker", I think until the end of time, I have a great, big feeling you'll stay true to your job, as my personal stalker. Thank you Macy and have fun at GC!

Dear Queeny,
Before you leave Isaac Newton, I'd like to mention quite a few stuff that I always wanted to say to you. First of all, I'd like to say that both you and Macy are blessed with short-temper. :) And with that, I wanna say that even though, I only asked you once about something, since I wasn't able to hear, and you yell right back at me, "Why won't you listen?!" and give me a death glare, I'd still miss you. And even though, you and Macy always have these "arguments" and somehow, at some point, I get involved (trust me, it's not cool getting involved), I'd still miss you. And lastly, even though, I only correct you for something, and somehow you never listen, you look like you're already on your breaking point wherein it feels like any minute, you'll throw a desk on top of my head and crack it open, I'd still miss you. Those were the good times. :) Oh by the way, thank you for everything that you have done for me..... which I can't seem to point out (_ _") haha! Just kidding. Take care and have fun!

For the almost two years that we've been together, we were able to make such good, yet painful memories. I'll always remember you two for you guys have such unique, and very unique, personalities. I'll miss you guys even though you guys always seem to throw all of your temper at me. (Am I some target?!) Hope you guys will have some fun at GC and I hope we'll see each other again. <3

P.S: Since your house's so much closer to where I currently live, I'll just visit you guys with my bike once in a while! Yay!~ See ya! =)

Yaaaay! Phew! What a dramatic speech! There! I'm pretty happy that I was able to write all of that down, since I don't know when will I ever write them down again. I hope the twins could read this. Haha! But I'm 100% sure that they'll kill me right away because 1.) They don't like the fact that I wrote a post about them. 2.) Their picture's up there. 3.) The dramatic speeches. Anyways, whether they'd read it or not, I'm just happy that I was able to write them down. Yay! \(^0^)/

So for the twins, I know you guys can survive GC as much as you have survived in Isaac! And I'm pretty sure that you'll find more new friends! By then, please don't forget about us! We'll still be here for you guys! In order to do that... "Queeny!!! Make a facebook already if you wanna stay in contact!!!!" Hahaha! XD

By the way, "Twins, try not to kill each other, wherever you may go, 'kay?" (*^_^*)

Yanna-chan's Concerto!

Tonight, we watched Ya-neechan's Band & Choir Concert. Since she's part of the school's choir, she's always involved in these concerts. But tonight, not only she sang but she also danced! Woot! Yup, she's that active and talented. Mwahaha! >:) *I'm pretty sure she wants to kill me right now for all those sarcasm. Hehe. Kidding Ya-neechan :)*
Anyhow, this concert was BIG TIME packed up with a lot of people. All the seats were taken! Didn't see that one coming since every time I have a Band Concert at my school, people barely even come. Haha! Well, Sisler's so much different than my school, Isaac, so I should've seen that one coming.
Put that aside, the concert was by far entertaining. The Band was really amazing unlike our band. *We need to work harder! >.<* But some of their pieces were too.... mellow (?) that almost made me and nee-chan fall asleep. But they were still good, okay! Don't get the wrong idea (>.<)!

Here are some of the pieces they played. Unfortunately, Ya-neechan's not part of the band, since she's not really a "Band" person, but she does sing and dance exceptionally well. *Again with the compliments. Haha!*

I know the quality's not that great but hey, I only wanted the music, so I thought that I don't really have to see anything visually, right? *winks* I feel smart saying that. (*^_^*)

Other people had other dance performances as well. Just like on this one:

They performed a Justin Bieber medley with Baby and Somebody To Love. Just saying, I'm no BELIEBER. Period. (^_^) And I'm proud of that fact!

On the next performance, they performed Lady Gaga's Born This Way. It was.... pretty funny yet awesome, I think? But me and nee-chan thought that they kinda lack some dance steps but that was not our decision, so yeah. Pretty good, still. And nice that they used that song. I like that song (*^_^*)

It was the Choir people's turn to shine! Unfortunately, Ya-neechan was not part of this choir. They sang a song that's kind of similar to The World I Knew by Jordin Sparks. Take note! I said similar, not the song itself. Okay? (><)

And here's Ya-neechan's dance performance! We all thought the girl in the middle performed really well! Her part was funny, too! She did a great job! Along with her "back-up" boys dancers at the back.

And there's Ya-neechan!!!!!!! Right there! Right there!!!! Yay!~ She's right there at the very right. It's kind of hard to point it out as of now, but you get the idea. Just remember, she's at the very right!! Not left corner, but RIGHT! Don't get your directions wrong!

Ya-neechan's dance performance was cheerful and some parts were funny. But pretty entertaining. Great job minna!! *applause* \(^0^)/

By the way! By the way! Guess what???? BAND BLAST'S TOMORROW!!!!!! Yaaaaaay!!!~ I can't wait!! We're going to play The Tempest! Wish me luck and I'll do my best! Yosh! =)

P.S: To Line-chan:
Line-chan, nee-chan told me that you wanted the link to a HSJ magazine translation, right? Here's the link! :)

But as far as I can remember, you have to be part of the community first in order to read it D: I'm not sure though, but try it out and hope it works! (^_^)
If it doesn't, then just bug nee-chan about it, nee? :D

Dimsum and Trapped Butterflies!

This past Saturday night, we went out to eat in our favorite Chinese restaurant, Dimsum! Yay! It`s really good there, you should try if you haven't. ;)
There's a lot of Chinese restaurants here in Winnipeg. And I am telling you, there are countless of them out there. But among all of these Chinese restaurants, I personally like Dimsum! and King's Palace. Sorry for being kind of biased, but I like those restaurants. :) Hehee!~

So, I'll show you some of our well-liked dishes of Dimsum! :

This is called Beef Tripe. In other words, it's a cooked cow's skin. It may sounds exotic to you, but I'm one heck of a girl that's why I like those kinds. (^_^) I don't know why but I enjoy eating these "unusual" kinds of foods. Don't get me wrong though!!!! I'm telling you, right at this moment, that I do not, DO NOT eat those REAL EXOTIC food. (>_<") And I'm talking about those..... Oh, you know what I'm talking about! (>m<)
So put that aside, in my family, it seems as though it's just me and my dad who likes these type of food. I inherited my dad's taste bud. Trust me, I don't even know if that's a good thing or not. Haha!
.

This one is eggplant with a shrimp inside. It was really good! Unfortunately, my Ya-neesan is allergic to shrimp due, I think, to her ashtma problems before. I know Ya-neesan, it kinda sucks but you can still eat a lot of other food so don't give up! :)

Our dad's favorite Chinese food ever invented, Chow Mein! It's just like Pancit Canton, but in a different kind of Chinese way.... ? (@_@) Wait, they're both Chinese, right??! Wow, what a fail Ali-chan.. (_ _") Oh well, just to conclude this.. matter, I'd say they're both Chinese cuisine wherein noodles are involved. There! :)
BTW, it's good! My dad loves every kind of Pancit Canton and every time we go to a Chinese resto, that's our number one order. So far, dad said Chow Mein there tastes really good. Dad just can't go wrong with his Chow Mein tastebuds, right dad? (^_^)

And lastly, our favorite dish there, Chinese Perogies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *claps! claps!* I really like this dish. There's something about it that you just wanna keep eating it. Haha! It's so crunchy on the outside and it has a sweet, hot, and yummy filling inside. It's really good! I strongly suggest you this one! :)

I just noticed, I sound like I'm advertising this resto, nee?? HAHAHA! =)) Oh well, it simply can't be helped. :)

One more thing, before we even left, I saw these two butterflies trapped between our garage window and the blinds. They're not squished or anything but they're trapped there. Honestly, I already noticed them few days before that but I just keep forgetting about them.
Anyhow, thanks to them, I was able to take some good shots of butterflies! Yay!

Arigato butterflies! Finally! I was able to take pictures of butterflies! (*^_^*)
I keep trying to take pictures of them before but I always failed since they always fly away from me every time I come close. (_ _") But not anymore! Yay!
My next target is: BIRDS! :D
^^Oh, nee-chan's gonna love this, nee? :)

P.S: Hontoni gomen ne again, nee-chan for using XY too long again! ><
I'll try to save up enough money to buy a mini laptop.. which will take a long, long, long, long long, long,......
and long while. Hehe (^^")

The Tempest!

Yay! So here I am again for my second post! *kaching* (>w<) Wow, I'm starting to get the hang of it :)

Anyways, today we had band class at school and we're having this so-called "Mini Band Blast" at Andrew Mynarski.
*Band Blast is an event wherein two or more different school bands all gather to play and perform a musical piece they've never played before.*
Supposedly, there will be more schools attending this, but something came up and it was cancelled. I originally didn't wanna come, but hey, more experience, right?
This morning, Mr. V (our band teacher, of course) announced to us the musical piece we'll be playing. The real plan was that we should learn and play the given music sheet exactly on Band Blast. But as you can see, our teacher was kind enough to kind-of cheat and gave us the opportunity to learn it earlier. I know, I know, it`s cheating but thats my teacher's fault. (^_^)

As a matter of fact, the musical piece was really nice and it seems that all of us band members loved it! The title of the music is "The Tempest."

Isn't it nice? I'm no music freak or anything but I really liked it. It sounds so powerful and epic! It sounds really familiar though, nee? Actually, this music reminds me of the battle theme that you hear during RPG games. Especially the part where you have to fight a BIG BOSS. Haha! I don't know why but that's what I think of. The same opinion comes from my friends. (^_^)

Now I'm really excited for the Band Blast! Can you imagine me playing this in flute? It'll sound so cool! 8D *BTW, I play the flute in band, just saying.. hehe :)*
Well, I'm not saying I'm really that pro in flute but when we practiced it a while ago, I was able to play the right notes and it sounded really cool, along with the clarinets and all. Yay! I really can't wait! I hope I don't mess up in the actual Band Blast! Ganbarimanu! (^0^)/
