This afternoon, we had our Provincial Grade 8 English Exams..
Well, I think I did well until the last part came up. (_ _")
I think I failed at the Visual Picture..
You see, we were given of a picture about Global Warming.
I know in this copy, it's very clear that there's a homeless polar bear there, right? But stupid me, I didn't notice it right away.
The exam asked questions about the picture. Since I wasn't clear what the picture was trying to say, I concluded that it says here that Global Warming affects Homeless People.. when supposedly, it's about Homeless Polar Bears. *cries*
Of course, everything that I wrote as my answer talked about how homeless people were affected, but that's not even what the picture is talking about! ( ´Д`)
I think one thing that disturbed me was my panic, too. When I got down to the last 3 questions, there were only 10 minutes left. I was motivated to finish it. It's better than answering nothing, right? So that's what I get. (;__ ; )
Anyways, I just hate it that I wrote about Homeless People instead of Homeless Polar Bears. Clearly, I didn't understand the picture right away. (_ _")
So there, I thought that I should already kiss goodbye to my good ELA marks, but nee-chan said that in those provincial exams, there's no right or wrong answer. You just need enough evidence of why your answer should be right. For short, it's you who'll decide if your answer IS right or wrong. She even said it doesn't matter even if you talked about Homeless People because in reality, they are affected by Global Warming.
And after that, a little light shone upon me. (*ω*)
"There's HOPE!", that's what I thought.
Now, I hope and I pray that they'll give a chance. o(>ω<)o
Off to our second part of the exam, the Essay Writing. I think I might like this part better since you can write down whatever you want, whether it's a fact or an opinion.
My paragraphs are very long. Therefore, I'll try my best to make it shorter so that whoever corrects it won't get bored! Ganbarimanu!~ ( ゚ヮ゚)/
